Institutional Goals
The foundation of ABC’s identity, what we are, and what we strive to be.
Christ
Alberta Bible College is a Christian Higher Education Institution. We seek to teach, explore, and respond to God’s work in Christ throughout everything we do at ABC. We seek to function as a continuing ministry of Jesus Christ, to act and to respond as Jesus has taught us.
Relationships
Community matters. Our small class sizes encourage one-on-one learning opportunities with our professors to foster dialogue and holistic learning. ABC also forms an intimate community outside the classroom, treating each other as people created in the image and likeness of God.
Belonging
ABC aspires to welcome all people into our portion of the Kingdom of God. Hospitality is something we value. We aim to be a safe place where asking questions and exploring self in community with others are important aspects of the academic journey. Whatever your background or experiences in life’s journey, you’re welcome at ABC.
Transformation
Education is about transformation. As we learn and listen in community we grow. ABC students, staff, and faculty consistently share how ABC has formed them in new and meaningful ways.
Practiced Theology
At ABC we seek to practice what we learn about the Bible and theology. Critical thinking, biblical literacy, and ministry theory lead to practical ministry. Being people of the Kingdom of God means living what we learn.
Calling
ABC sends into the world the people God sends to ABC. The calling of God doesn’t end with the completion of a degree, nor do we believe that all roads lead to working for a church. ABC sends graduates out to live their faith wherever and however God leads.
